About us

We named ourselves after the questions.

Byte and quora — the engineering and the inquiry. Good software starts with someone asking the right question, out loud, early enough to matter.

Our story

Built by people tired of watching good ideas get built badly.

ByteQuora started with a shared frustration. Between us we had watched a lot of budgets disappear into projects that were technically finished and practically useless — software that met the spec and missed the point entirely.

The pattern was always the same. Nobody asked the awkward questions early, so they got asked late, when changing the answer was expensive. We built this studio to front-load that discomfort: interrogate the brief, test the assumption, prototype the risky part first.

Today we are a compact senior team covering research, design, engineering, and motion. We deliberately stay small enough that the people you meet are the people who do the work — and we take on fewer projects than we could, because attention is the thing clients actually notice.

How we spend a week

Roughly 70% building, 20% talking to users, and 10% arguing productively about whether a feature deserves to exist. That last 10% saves our clients the most money.

What we believe

Four principles we actually enforce.

Not wall art. These are the rules we use to settle arguments internally.

Honest scoping

We would rather lose a pitch than win it on a number we know is wrong. The estimate you get is the one we believe.

Momentum over ceremony

Short sprints, working software, and meetings only when they earn their place on the calendar.

You own everything

Repositories, domains, hosting, design files, analytics. All in your name from day one. No hostage situations.

Plain language

No jargon smokescreen. If we cannot explain a technical decision in a sentence, we probably have not thought it through.
